Copyright complaints

If you believe a release on BassVault Music infringes a copyright you own or administer, send us a notice using the form below. You do not need a BassVault account to file one.

This is BassVault's interim copyright notice contact — an intake mailbox, not a registered designated agent. BassVault has not yet registered a DMCA designated agent with the U.S. Copyright Office or published that agent's name, address, and contact details, and it does not claim to have done so here.

What a notice needs

Your name, email address, and mailing address.
A description of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
The links to the material on BassVault Music you believe is infringing.
A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for them.
Your signature — typing your full name in the signature field is enough.

A notice is an allegation, not an action. We read it before we act, and we do not remove anything automatically.

If your release was taken down

A seller whose release was removed because of a notice can send a counter-notice to the address above. Name the release, give your name, address, and telephone number, state under penalty of perjury that you believe the material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, and consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. federal district court for your address.

We pass a valid counter-notice to whoever filed the original notice and tell you what happens next. We do not restore a release on our own once a notice has been accepted, and we may restore it only if the claimant withdraws or a court says so.
